Our Team

At School Sports Coaching (SSC) we share the same passion in wanting to make a difference to young people, helping them to get involved in sport and to also, most importantly, enjoy sport.  

 

All of the SSC coaching staff must have the following to be part of the team here to ensure we always deliver good quality sport, in a safe environment: 

 

  • A minimum NGB level 2 qualification (in a sport)

  • A sports coaching qualification

  • A behaviour management qualification

  • Have been assessed to Ofsted criteria 

  • Have a current DBS check

Directors

 

Adam Boocock, Co-Managing Director 

A qualified Primary School Teacher, Adam currently teaches a year 2 class at his local primary school. 

​

Graduating in 2010 with a BA Honours degree in Sport Development at Leeds Metropolitan Univeristy, Adam also has many years of experience of Sports Development and Coaching. Starting his sporting career at 18 years old, he has gained various sports coaching qualifications, including; an ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults’ Cricket (UKCC Level 2) and Coaching in Football (FA Level 2).

Adam is passionate about physical education and its relevance to young people's learning. His areas of expertise include insuring excellence and high quality provision in schools as well as delivering high quality multi sports holiday camps. This passion, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence are driven by making a difference to the lives, aspiration and engagement of young people and adults he works with.

Chris Lindley, Co-Managing Director

Chris boasts a BSc Honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Leeds Metropolitan University, and has over 10 year’s experience of coaching a variety of sports.

 

With a passion for learning, Chris is a UEFA B qualified football coach and has been a Football coach for a world leading football club. He was also one of the first coaches in the country to gain the qualification of Multi-Skills Development in Sport Level 2. He holds a variety of other coaching qualifications including Tag-Rugby, Football Analysis, Futsal and Fitness as well as being a certified Power-lifting Referee.

 

Chris has a very strong desire to provide excellent opportunities for young people in order for them to reach their potential. He excels in the management and organisation of high quality sporting provisions for young people and is motivated by the influences in which sport can have on a young person’s life.
